Monica L. Dolezal

Prior to starting her company BIZSTARTS, LLC in 2004, Monica was a Vice President with Wells Fargo Bank Iowa, N.A. Monica has her degree from Iowa State University. Since 1974, Monica has benefited from working in several functional areas in banking. In 2002, she was guide/coach/mentor to 4 Small Business Specialists (SBS) in the Greater Des Moines (IA) area in a newly created Small Business Services Department.

Monica has a strong background in SBA guaranteed loans and is considered an expert in small business start-up assistance. She has been active in the Central Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) for many years and is currently on the board as the Public Policy Chairperson. In 1993 American Institute of Banking awarded her the Instructor of the Year title. In 1996 she was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Iowa Financial Services Advocate of the Year and in 2003 the Des Moines District Office of the SBA selected her as the it's Women in Business Advocate of the Year in its district.
