  The Auxiliary was organized a year after the post was established in the 1940’s. This group takes active interest in child welfare, helping the hospitalized veterans, and community service. It provides an annual college scholarship.

  Meetings are held the third Thursday, 7:00 p.m., Legion Hall. For more information, call 278-8940.

  This post was formed in the early 1940’s and the Legion Hall at 68th and Douglas was built shortly afterwards. The American Legion is the largest patriotic organization in the world. The Urbandale Post has performed many services for the community.

  Membership is open to all honorably discharged veterans who have served during time of war. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm. For general information, call 278-8940. Call and leave a message for hall rental, 681-9663.
