Karen Goldsworth, Director

Karen Goldsworth has worked with Strauss Safe and Lock, now Strauss Security Solutions for more than seven years. The eighty three year old company moved to Urbandale ten years ago. She graduated from Iowa State University with a marketing degree and uses it with her current sales position.

Karen has been an active member of the Urbandale Chamber for five years. She is currently the Co-Chair for the Ambassadors, and enjoys serving on committees such as Sample Urbandale, Educators Appreciation Reception, Annual Dinner, and participating as a volunteer for the Total Resource Campaign. She is also proud to have been awarded the Chamber 2008 Volunteer of the Year.

Along with the Chamber, Karen is also active in the following groups and committees; Co-Chair for Synergy Networking Group, Women of Worth, Junior Achievement, Co-Chair for the Iowa Landlord Association, and a Dale Carnegie graduate.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Shaun, two sons Landry and Decker, and daughter Charlie.
